Project Planning & Preparation
We discuss and agree job and person specifications, ensuring we gain a thorough understanding of the role and company ethos. We agree timescales, interview dates, review dates and the project plan. A target list of industry sectors and relevant companies is agreed prior to commencement of research.
Our researchers specialise in full organisational and departmental mapping to identify relevant individuals. We also work closely with you to establish any candidates that should not be contacted, this includes ex-employees and other industry individuals that are known personally.
Confidential approaches to key individuals begin, to establish their motivation to move and qualify the relevance of their background and skill set. A structured telephone interview is arranged to provide a more detailed profile of a candidate’s background and increase their commitment to looking at a new opportunity.
All qualified candidates are fully interviewed at a face to face meeting. This allows Hillcrest to assess candidates on all areas, including their impression of the client and to overcome any initial objections, further increasing their interest in the opportunity. A short list of candidates is then prepared and delivered to you for approval. We only confirm a shortlist once you have agreed that the candidates are suitable and meet the original specification.
Client Shortlist Interviews
Candidates enter the client interview process, with all meetings arranged via Hillcrest. Initial feedback is taken from both client and candidate after the meeting. Hillcrest can also arrange and/or oversee industry testing and personality profiling.
We liaise with the selected candidate during final interview negotiations, managing expectations to ensure agreement from both parties. We exercise post-placement control to ensure the candidate is given full support both in the final weeks before and the immediate months after successful placement.
